The Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) Convide – Consistency in the View-Based Development of Cyber-Physical Systems researches methods and tools for constructing software-intensive technical systems. Responding to the ever-growing role of software in these systems, the increased use and interconnection of software engineering approaches in systems engineering is being researched in an interdisciplinary manner by computer scientists and engineers. Led by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Technische Universität Dresden, the University of Mannheim and Technische Universität München cooperate at the CRC.
Job Description
One of the central goals at Convide concerns the application of research results in realistic scenarios. Accordingly, our research flows in the research platform Vitruvius. To develop and maintain Vitruvius, we are looking for a software developer (f/m/d) who works together with our international team of highly motivated doctoral researchers.
Your tasks include:
- Requirements elicitation and analysis
- Implementation of new functionality
- Development of existing concepts
- Maintenance and development of the existing code base
- Cooperation with researchers to develop demonstrator systems
Personal Qualification
- Degree from a university, college (Hochschule) or university of cooperative education (Berufsakademie) in the areas of computer science, mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering
- Or completed IT training, for example as IT specialist with a focus on application development
- Good knowledge of Java and GitHub
- Optional: Experience with model-based software development
- Optional: Experience with large-scale software projects

Salary
Renumeration is based on the collective agreement of the public service in the renumeration group TV-L E11.
Contract Term
The contract will initially be limited to two years.
